Just to let you know that I'm not completely unhinged, that list was my first list of things to take to BD. (It looks like it's pretty much final... my going to BD, that is... so any/all tips on how to survive are more than welcome. Seriously, my first time back & my slightly sadistic family enjoys watching me squirm while they relate BD "Tales of Horror").
Now, let me tell you about The Poison Study (think alternate reality & loads of kick-ass action/suspense):
So this girl kills some well-known political figure (dunno why), gets arrested, is sentenced to death (friends of the murdered politician want her dead, asap). On the day of her execution, she's offered a choice: die or become the food-taster of some Commander who's being hunted down by a truckload of assassins (two guesses as to the fate of the ex-food-taster). Anyway she chooses food-tasting, but her Trainer/Guard doesn't trust her. He injects a poison into her that'll kill her if she doesn't get a shot of the antidote every 24hrs. Naturally, the only one with access to the antidote is her Trainer/Guard... To make the story more complex... she's being hunted down by friends of the politician she murdered (they want her dead right now). To top it off, she finds out that she'd been abducted as a child & that there's all this related intrigue involved... All I know is that she survives... somehow.
Unfortunately, I think this is a trilogy or something... but it sounds good so far.

about ur list-of-things-to-take-to-BD:
u can cross of ferrero rocher. We bought them in bd too. but then, it might be too expensive. but then, u wouldnt probably eat it everyday so why would u carry it all the way to bd when u can just get it there?
to survive:
1. wear salwar kamiz all the time. no long jumpers and jeans and unmatched orna. They tend to forgive less in these matters.
2. DONT SHOWER AT NIGHT. the night i went to bd, i really wanted to shower, got told off. lolz. and wet ur hair.cuz everytime i used a shower cap, i got weird looks.
3. eat achar, fuchka, dal bhaja.
omg! flynn going to bd??!! ... oooh i see a pig flying.... sugeee...
#2 should read ALWAYS wash ur hair. the dirt will most likely somehow find their way in through the scarf.
point on #3- DON'T eat achar, fuchka, dal bhaja that have been made outside the home... unless u want to get sick/diarrhoea/food poisoning (speaking of poison study).

... on second thoughts, i don't want to freak u out of going to bd. there are some very good plus points too.
